Empowering students with language-based learning differences
Tracy Hood, elementary teacher, is excited to be back in the classroom. She is a military spouse who has had the opportunity to teach in Virginia, Texas, and Alabama. She earned her B.A. from Auburn University and is currently training with ASDEC to complete her Certified Academic Language Therapy certification. She is also looking forward to completing her M.Ed. from Southern New Hampshire University in Dyslexia Studies & Language-Based Learning Differences. She has worked in many different settings starting as a Special Education teacher in the Fairfax County school system. For the past 10 years, she enjoyed working as a substitute teacher in elementary and preschool settings.
Why I Teach At Siena: As a mom of a dyslexic child, I have found my passion in teaching children with language-based learning differences and helping them reach their full potential.
