Empowering students with language-based learning differences

Emily Glassford

Emily Glassford, director of college counseling, has supported students in navigating college admissions, test prep, executive functioning, and writing since 2015. As a college counselor and private tutor, she has guided many students and families through all stages of the admissions process, including internships, summer programs, financial aid, scholarships, applications, and accommodations. She enjoys helping students of all strengths and needs—especially those with language-based learning differences—identify their long-term academic/professional interests and succeed in their post-high-school paths. Emily earned her B.A. in History (Magna cum Laude, History Department Honors, Phi Beta Kappa) from Northwestern University and her Master of Studies in History (Distinction) from the University of Oxford. Outside of Siena, Emily can be found cuddling with her herd of rescue animals, careening around the rink at roller derby practice, or making jewelry.
Why I Work at Siena: It is incredibly fulfilling to work with such driven students and watch them gain the skills and confidence to succeed beyond high school!
