Siena Inclement Weather Policy

For most weather events, including delayed openings, early dismissals, or school closures, Siena's Satellite and Forest Glen campuses will follow Montgomery County Public Schools' decisions, and Siena's Northern Virginia campus will follow Fairfax County Public Schools' decisions. However, Siena reserves the right to make independent decisions, particularly during extended weather events, if circumstances warrant.
A ParentSquare will be sent to families if there is a delay, early dismissal, or closing.
Families are encouraged to make their own decisions regarding travel conditions and whether to bring students to school based on personal circumstances. Ultimately, families should always assess their own specific travel conditions and make decisions that are best for their safety.
We highly recommend that families register for MCPS alerts or register for FCPS alerts so that you can receive this information in a timely manner. Information can also be located on local news channels and on the MCPS or FCPS websites.
