Won Cho

Won Cho, LMSW, APHSW-C, school counselor and student life coordinator, received their Bachelor of Social Work at George Mason University and their Master of Social Work at Fordham University. They began their career at Virginia Cancer Specialists providing supportive care to patients and loved ones. They completed their Parenting at Challenging Times training and became a certified Advanced Palliative and Hospice Social Worker. Prior to joining The Siena School, Ms. Cho worked as the school counselor at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in New York City. They provided social-emotional lessons to Pre-K through 12th grade and individual emotional support throughout the school day. Ms. Cho is skilled in crisis management and navigating adjustments as students, friends, and humans. They also coordinated events such as Anti-Bullying Week and Mental Health Awareness Month to promote greater school belonging and wellness.

Why I Work at Siena: I am very excited to join the creative and supportive community of The Siena School staff, students, and family. I aim to add to the community's dedication to fostering learning and growth by providing additional social-emotional knowledge.
