Rachel Jackson
Middle and High School Dean of Students

Rachel Jackson, Dean of Students, with over two decades in independent schools, has come to see student life as both an art and a system: knowing students well, building trust with faculty and families, shaping culture intentionally, and creating structures that help young people feel cared for and accountable. Rachel is a native Bostonian who received a B.A. in Communications from Boston College and an Ed.M. from Boston University. She has also pursued continuing graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on empowering Black girls in independent schools. Much of her free time is devoted to her middle-school-aged son and their beloved Cavapoo, Bella.

Why I Teach At Siena: Because of its commitment to building an equitable, diverse, and inclusive community for all types of learners, and I am honored to join the Siena School staff in demonstrating this commitment to every student on a daily basis.
