Empowering students with language-based learning differences
Eva Esparza, music, drama, and yoga teacher, joins Siena with over 22 years of experience teaching and a passion to integrate the creative arts with education. She graduated with a B.A. in Spanish and Music from Loyola University in New Orleans and an M.A. in Theatre Education from The Catholic University of America. She received her Level 1 Orff-trained music teaching certification from George Mason University. She has taught music, drama, creative movement, Spanish, and ESL, as well as private piano and voice lessons. For the past 18 years, Eva has been teaching music and drama at Aidan Montessori School (1st-6th grade) in Washington, DC, and loves directing musicals and plays with her students. She has also taught at Carlos Rosario Public Charter School in Washington, DC, and Thornton Friends Quaker School in Silver Spring, MD. She is currently training to be a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).
Why I Teach At Siena: because I am excited to work in a community that is dedicated to helping dyslexic students reach their highest potential. These diverse learners have so much to contribute to the world.
