Ritu Virmani, math teacher, received her bachelor’s in Communication from the University of Maryland at College Park, and a master’s in teaching from Johns Hopkins University. Ritu's career in education has spanned inner-city students in DC, single-gender instruction in Dubai and Bethesda, ed tech startups in San Francisco, and students with language-based learning differences. Beyond differentiated mathematics instruction, Ritu loves to integrate technology into the classroom, a passion that led her to learn computer programming at an all-female coding boot camp. She finds joy in inspiring students to cultivate critical thinking skills and understand the profound impact of mathematics on their world. In her spare time, Ritu loves cooking traditional Indian and Israeli foods, inventing new recipes, gardening, makeup artistry, and crochet.
