Empowering students with language-based learning differences
Justin Kanka
Justin Kanka, high school internship coordinator, math department chair, and middle school math/science teacher, joins Siena with 7 years of teaching experience and a love for helping students find their passion for learning. He graduated with a B.A. in Italian Studies from the Honors Program at Providence College in Rhode Island, during which he also studied abroad in Italy and played NCAA Division I soccer. After graduating, he began working as an Italian and math teacher and as the varsity soccer coach at The Avalon School. There, he also taught math, science, and elective courses at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Before coming to Siena, he worked in Loudoun County teaching math and science at Fusion Academy and was part of the founding team for the Ion International Training Center in Leesburg. He recently received a training certificate for teaching Multisensory Math.
