Empowering students with language-based learning differences
Parents of Black Students Association

The Parents of Black Students Association (PBSA) is a resource community for all parents of current Siena students who identify as Black or biracial to engage with each other, raise concerns, flag issues of interest, and crowdsource information. Our main objective is to connect for socializing, discuss issues specific to our children’s identity in the community and the broader world they will face as adults, and support each other.
We appreciate the Siena administration's commitment to partner with PBSA in support of a diverse and inclusive environment. We welcome Siena’s efforts to encourage more Black students and faculty to join the community.
To accomplish this, the PBSA organizes opportunities throughout the year to encourage our families to get to know each other, share ideas and concerns, and provide a safe platform specific to black students.
The PBSA is a service entity and does not make any policy decisions relating to Siena. However, parents/legal guardians are encouraged to provide input and ideas via the PBSA to help achieve Siena’s mission and objectives.
