Using the Tools
At our Silver Spring campus, Siena works with new high school students by providing regular reading practice, helping them improve in the five areas of reading instruction (phonemic awareness, decoding, comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary).
Students will learn the tools used at Siena to improve their decoding, spelling, and comprehension. Reading teachers also serve as a resource for students and staff, available to help students on a case-by-case basis.
